BACKGROUND

West Sumatra government will construct a slaughter house in Payakumbuh city with International Standard, producing quality beef products which is supported by license HACCP.

By exsisting the slaughter house, it is expected that there would be cost from investor for quality beef processing with International Standard, including halal certificate with destination to Middle East.

In order to optimalize operation of the slaughter house that private party from Australia to put their invesment by supplying cattle to West Sumatra in coorporation with district owned company of Payakumbuh city.

Supporting facilities and infrastructure in West Sumatra are as follows :
1. Teluk Bayur harbour in Padang
2. Quarantine for animal in Padang city with capacity of 3000 heads
3. Holding Ground facilities in :
- Excelent Livestock Breeding Service (BPTU)
- Taufik Farm as core company
4. Slaughter House
5. International Minangkabau Airport

OBJECTIVES

• To produce livestock products in the form of canned beef with halal certificate
• To extend market opportunity of international standard livestock products to Middle East.
• To empower animal husbandry men in fatterning in coorporation with feedlot
• To open job opportunity for small holders

MISION

To realize West Sumatra Province as food produser derived from cattle with international standard .





LOCATION
Payobasung, West Payakumbuh Sub District, Payakumbuh City as wide as 10 ha

KEY TO SUCCSESS
1. Fattenning population in the West Sumatra as of 2007 amounting to 446.473 heads and in 2008 amounting 460.225 heads.
2. Having natural resources
3. Our husbandry men had implemented some livestock production technology like insemination technology, feeding technology, fattening beef technology and forage technology
4. Artificial Insemination Centre, named Tuah Sakato which was erected in 2002. We Started with imported proven sire of Simmental bull from Australia fasilitated by Indonesian Central Government

1. To set up coorporation between Australian and West Sumatra Provincial Governments to produce quality beef product.
2. To put investment and promotion toward livestock products
3. Having lisences for both Halal and HCCP products
4. To fine marketing access to Midle East

1. Visit on the spot to observe development potency of meat processing factory in West Sumatra.
2. To have promotion and marketing on quality livestock products
3. To set up MOU among private parties
